Az affogato egy olyan ínyencség, amely a kávéital és a desszert határán helyezkedik el. A hazai kávézókban ez a kávékülönlegesség csak nemrég jelent meg. Tökéletes felfrissülés a forró nyári napokon, vagy édes pont egy finom ebéd után. Mindössze két alapösszetevőből áll, így az affogatót könnyedén elkészítheted otthon is. Összeállítottunk neked egy egyszerű receptet, valamint tippeket az otthoni elkészítéshez.
Mi az az affogato kávé?
Az affogato elsősorban a tejes kávé édes ízvilágának szerelmeseit hódítja meg. Az eredeti recept mindössze minőségi espressót és olasz vaníliafagylaltot tartalmaz, esetleg fior di latte fagylaltot, amelynek jellegzetes tejes íze van. Az eredeti recept csupán egyetlen gombóc fagylaltot javasol. Találkozhatsz azonban különféle variációkkal is, amelyek két vagy több gombóc fagylaltot és további édes hozzávalókat tartalmaznak (csokoládéforgács, csokoládéfagylalt, tejszínhab stb.). Ebben az esetben már nem az eredeti kávéital-receptúráról van szó, hanem inkább egy olyan desszertről, amely csupán az affogatóból merített ihletet.
Affogato: recept
Hozzávalók 1 adaghoz:
1 erős espresso (45 ml)
1 gombóc olasz vaníliafagylalt vagy fior di latte fagylalt
Elkészítés:
Előre hűtsd le a hűtőben azt a csészét, amelyben az affogatót szeretnéd tálalni.
Készíts minőségi espressót, lehetőleg automata kávéfőzővel, kotyogóssal vagy bármilyen szűrős módszerrel (aeropress, dripper stb.).
Tedd a lehűtött csészébe a gombóc fagylaltot, majd öntsd le forró kávéval.

Hogyan és mikor született meg az affogato?
Az affogato Olaszországból származik. Az olaszok közismerten rajonganak a jó kávéért és a fagylaltért. Az affogato szó szerinti fordításban „elmerültet" jelent. A fagylalt ebben az esetben a kiváló espressóba merül, amelyet gyakran édes likőr is kiegészít. Olaszországból az affogato az egész világon elterjedt, és különösen az USA-ban és Ausztráliában örvend nagy népszerűségnek. A japánok is megkedvelték, ők Matcha zöld teával egészítik ki.
Tippek az affogato otthoni elkészítéséhez
Az affogato elkészítéséhez kizárólag minőségi szemes vagy őrölt kávét használj.
Szűrős kávékészítéshez javasoljuk, hogy több kávét használj. Az affogatóhoz készített kávénak nagyon erősnek kell lennie, hogy a fagylalttal kombinálva is kellően érvényesüljön az íze.
Az affogatót kiegészítheted egy adag édes olasz mogyorós likőrrel is (vagy más édes likőrökkel ízlésed szerint), valamint tejszínhabbal.
