FRJet material

FRJet material refers to a specific type of filament, i.e. printing filament, designed for 3D printers. The key feature of this material is its reduced flammability, which is expressed by the abbreviation "FR" from the English "flame retardant", which translates to flame retardant. In practice, this means that the material has been modified to resist ignition and retard the spread of flame. Unlike standard plastics, this filament either extinguishes itself in the event of a fire after the source of the flame has been removed, or burns much more slowly and with less smoke development. This property is achieved by adding special chemicals, so-called additives, to the base printing material, which can be PETG or ASA, for example. The designation "Jet" is often part of the name of a particular product from a manufacturer. This type of filament is used to produce parts where higher fire safety is required, such as electronic equipment enclosures, automotive components or components located near heat sources.
