A Grand Theft Auto 6 megjelenése jelenleg 2026. november 19-re van tervezve, kizárólag PlayStation 5 és Xbox Series X/S konzolokra, a Rockstar képviselői pedig egyelőre hallgatnak arról, mikor juthatna el a játék a számítógépekre is. A GamesBeat portál azonban – a stúdió terveit ismerő forrásokra hivatkozva – arról számolt be, hogy a GTA 6 PC-s verziójának megjelenésére akár már 2027 első negyedévében (vagyis március végéig) sor kerülhet. A Rockstar egyelőre nem kommentálta a helyzetet. Az alkotók vagy a Take-Two kiadó hivatalos megerősítésére tehát még várnunk kell.

Ha a hír igaznak bizonyul, a GTA 6 jóval hamarabb megjelenhet PC-re, mint elődje. A GTA V ugyanis több mint egy évvel azután került erre a platformra, hogy megjelent PS3-ra, Xbox 360-ra, majd később PS4-re és Xbox One-ra is. John Ricchia, a Rockstar Games egykori producere szerint a GTA 6 késleltetett PC-s megjelenésének oka az lehet, hogy az alkotók először a technikailag korlátozottabb hardverre szeretnék optimalizálni a játékot, és csak utána PC-re.
