In case of a failure outside the warranty period, we will repair the product, replace it with a new one, or issue a credit for the full purchase price.

Does the service cover mechanical defects as well?
The extended warranty covers manufacturing defects, just like the statutory warranty. Mechanical damages are not included.

As a VAT payer, do I have to pay VAT, similar to car insurance?
Yes, if the issue is resolved through a repair. As a VAT payer, you are required to pay VAT on the repair costs (the same applies if the service center replaces the product with another). As in other cases, you can reclaim the VAT from the state.

How long can the claims process take?
In 2025, most cases were resolved within an average of 20 days from the date the product was handed over.

Can I borrow a replacement device during the repair period?
Currently, as part of the extended warranty service, we are unable to provide a replacement device during the claims processing period.

How do I submit a claim for large household appliances?
If the device malfunctions, the first step is to contact Alza.hu (tel.: +36 1 701 1111, e-mail: [email protected]) and report the error. Describe the cause, extent and nature of the error. Also provide the details of the proof of purchase, which shows when and how the service was purchased.
After that, you have the option to have your large household product repaired at your home by a specialist service center of your choice. If the cost of the repair does not exceed the purchase price of the product, then have the appliance repaired. Then send us the invoice confirming the repair by e-mail and we will refund the cost of the repair to the bank account provided during registration. If the cost of the repair exceeds the original purchase price of the appliance, or the service service is not available, then contact our customer service representative at the contact details mentioned above and we will arrange delivery, then replace the product with a new one or refund the purchase price.
