I use them in pairs, i.e. in stereo. That's why this is a review on a couple rather than one. For such small speakers, quite a strong sound with bass presence. Depends on the location. The two of them play really well together. Unfortunately, I can't say that one of them played at fifty percent compared to the other, more like twenty-five. I've been pulling them for over a year now and I'm satisfied.

I bought the Lamax Sounder2 Mini portable speaker as a replacement for the Lamax Sounder2, which has definitely better sound quality, but is also once as big, heavy and more expensive. I bought the mini version for my children to listen to audio stories in the evening before sleep and it is absolutely ideal for this purpose. Sound with music probably won't impress anyone, but for the garden or spoken word (stories, audio books, podcasts, etc. ) is ideal. This is not to say that it is unsuitable for music, but the sound is midrange, directed to the highs, and the bass is quite receding - but for the price and life it is not a bad purchase at all.
If you want a speaker that is bass-oriented and therefore a good listening experience, you will have to dig deeper into your pocket.
In the price-performance ratio it meets expectations (not surprising but not offensive either).
Small, compact and lightweight
Battery life (can play at lower volumes for 8-10 hours)
USB-C charging
Worse bass (but for the price I wouldn't rate it as a failure)

The build quality of this speaker is great. Even at high volume, the music sounds clear and distortion-free.
Great value at a reasonable price

Alza's complaints procedure
I had two of these same speakers and they both died from the same fault. One stopped working after a couple of months, when my new one was replaced it died after about a year. The speakers would charge, but they wouldn't turn on. Don't buy it.

As long as it works, it's a good speaker for the price. Unfortunately, after 3/4 year I put it on the charger and it would not start anymore. Replaced with a new speaker, in half a year again complaint and refund.
It lasts about half to 3/4 year, then it can't be switched on anymore

I have it for assembly work and there's nothing to fault it, I'll see how it looks in half a year in the toolbox. I run it from morning to night and charge it twice a week in the car.
Long battery life
Speaker volume control OK
I haven't found out yet if it has any battery check.
I didn't understand the Voice Control, which is triggered by a button on the speaker
