I hadn't noticed that I bought and returned this diagnostic a few years back, as it didn't work on my BMW e90 and I ended up buying another one. Now unfortunately I bought it again for a BMW f36 and it didn't work again, so I returned it again. Probably not suitable for BMW or I don't know how to get it to work. Others work without a problem.
Apparently it doesn't work with BMW, it didn't work with both e90 and f36.

It doesn't work with many cars.
It's a Chinese copy - a noname product. That Alza is not ashamed to sell at their price what costs a fraction of their price in China. Because of the relatively low price, I did not file a claim and this adapter ended up in the sorted electrical waste.
I've gotten others from China for the same Alza price, but fully functional and from named manufacturers and even have higher (newer/more modern) OBD2 protocols. They work without a problem. Not Alza's crap.
