The assist functions work quite well, but the overall concept of the camera is not very good. The camera must be positioned as close as possible to the driver's field of view to see the integrated display, so that it can obscure part of the view while distracting from traffic by reporting cameras, blind spots, lanes or pedestrians (ADAS function). In addition, modern vehicles usually have these functions integrated into the on-board systems, thus duplicating the reporting. The camera can therefore be recommended for older cars where the driver can use assistance systems that are not in the car. In newer cars, the camera can be used as a recording device in the event of an accident or, with a separately sold module, as a car guard in a car park. The Sony IMX678 sensor delivers high quality images even in degraded conditions. Viewing and downloading saved videos is possible via the camera's wifi, but the iPhone app wasn't very fast and the connection to the camera wasn't stable or fast. But I believe this can be improved by updates from the manufacturer. Self-assembly of the camera is possible, but special equipment may be needed and it is not a trivial matter. So you need to consider whether you need a rear camera as well, and if necessary, add professional mounting to the price of the camera. I don't understand why the manufacturer didn't use only USB-C connectors nowadays, or why there is a different connector on each side of the rear camera cable. Would like the ability to adjust the front camera lens horizontally for best field of view.

The camera is very easy to install and set up. ADAS doesn't always work perfectly, but I certainly can't complain about radar and blind spots. The image quality of both cameras is perfect even at night and in the rain. The only thing that bothered me was the annoying motion detection, which I had to turn off. The PC app is excellent, it scares the hell out of me: D. I definitely recommend the camera, even though it has its small imperfections, which are definitely not major, and I see the phone app as the biggest weakness. Not nearly all the settings are there and streaming the image to the phone doesn't work well. Only usable as a record preview.

I purchased the Navitel RS990 GPS dashcam because I wanted a quality recording device for accident evidence and I also wanted passive protection features. I'll start with the pros of the camera. The ultra-sharp image caught my eye right from the start. The large display was also a big plus, as you don't want to squint at some tiny display when driving. The display of your current speed is rather standard, but what I like is the audible warning that someone is overtaking you, as part of the blind spot detection, but also the audible indication that you are crossing a lane. As for the cons, I definitely have to mention that if you want to fully use the rear camera, you have to buy the original Navitel Smart box auto adapter, which needs to be plugged into the fuse box and it's not exactly easy for a layman. Fortunately, an electrician friend helped. In conclusion, if you are a fan of electronics, this camera is for you. I still haven't figured out how to set the camera up to my liking, but I think it just takes time and trial and error. The manual is not the most concise
