As someone who didn't own the original Switch and has been interested in it for a while, buying this console made more sense to me than the first one. I'm interested in playing both older games from Switch 1 and games that are yet to be released on this console. I'm also looking forward to the better graphics this console should provide in games with graphical updates. But I wouldn't recommend buying/upgrading, at least for now, to people who don't care that much about better graphics, already have a Switch 1, or don't care about the games that have come out and will come out for that console. The console also doesn't have an OLED display like the newer versions of the Switch 1, but I still find this LCD panel nice. But I haven't had a chance to compare them yet. However, I don't like that Nintendo uses similar joy-sticks to the Switch 1 which are highly likely to start drifting (spontaneously pointing to one side) after some time of use. If that happens to mine, hopefully by then better joy-sticks will be available that I can replace myself, or I can send the Joy-Cons to Nintendo who will repair/replace them for free. The size of the console seems just right, but it's too heavy for me to hold for long periods of time. However, these aspects depend on personal preference. Bottom line, it's a very good console for me, after almost a week of using it I'm very happy with it, just the price for it and the games alone is pretty high.

Otherwise, avoid this device and avoid disappointment. Why? The game controls are tragic. Zero progress from the original switch. The joystick is very sensitive and its shape makes it very difficult to control. My thumbs kept coming off him. The top buttons on the removable parts have poor sensitivity. Apart from the nice look, the equipment looks cheap after trying it out. Steam deck, ROG ally, Legion go are better choices than this.
