First impressions after upgrading from the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra to the new version: It feels lighter and more comfortable on the wrist (the different style of strap makes a big difference). Updating to the new device is very easy, everything transfers automatically. The default watch face from the previous generation is nicer. The buttons are a bit firmer, but they're slightly larger and more comfortable. It took a while to get the app shortcut onto the watch face (it wouldn't save – now it's fine). The main reason for upgrading was the battery life, because my original watch wouldn't even last two days with the Always On display and the SIM enabled.
Feels lighter on the wrist and the strap is more comfortable.
Larger display than the previous generation.
I haven't tested it yet, but on paper it should have a longer battery life.
Compared to the original black version with the orange strap, the grey/silver version with the grey-green strap is more elegant (the original strap also goes well with it).
You can't have two devices connected at the same time (you have to select one device in the app).
So far I haven't found support for a direct connection to Livelox (Garmin supports this).

After switching from the Galaxy Watch 6, I have mixed feelings about the Ultra2. The watch feels robust, but the design is a bit confused – it doesn't seem to know if it wants to be round or square. What I miss most is the rotating bezel around the display, which made navigation significantly easier. On the other hand, I have to praise the beautiful and very easy-to-read display, which is perfect even in bright sunlight. I also appreciate the wide range of watch faces and their detailed configuration, including many high-quality free ones. A big plus is the LTE – the watch can handle calls, texts, and apps like WhatsApp or Messenger without a phone. Overall, it's a powerful watch with an excellent display and connectivity, but with a few ergonomic compromises in terms of controls and design.

After ten days of wearing it, I'm extremely happy with my Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2. Although I'm still getting used to it and gradually discovering all its functions, I can already say that the performance and system response are really fast. Maybe it's because I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 45mm (SM-R840), and you can tell it's a leap of several generations. While my old Watch 3 served me long and reliably, the watch's responsiveness had become quite slow recently. The new Ultra2 surpasses it in practically every way: Display and Readability: The new display offers incomparably higher brightness in direct sunlight and top-notch resolution. With the old one, I had trouble reading anything in direct sunlight. Battery Life: Compared to the older Watch 3, which I had to charge almost daily, the Ultra2 offers significantly longer battery life even with active use. Build and Durability: Regarding the watch's build… when the first Ultra came out, it seemed a bit strange to me, and most importantly, it wasn't available in black. The Ultra 2 comes in black, and the look is now more acceptable to me. Plus, it's thinner, so I have no problem wearing it while sleeping. I'll find out about its durability over time, but the premium materials (titanium/sapphire) suggest it will be good. Sensors and Health: The heart rate monitoring and GPS are more accurate, and so far, there have been no dropouts like with the old watch. I'm still exploring the health features, and it will take more time. Negatives: Probably the only thing I miss a bit is the rotating bezel. That's because I was used to it on my old watch. But it's not a deal-breaker, and I think in 2–3 months I won't even remember it. Although it will take a while before I explore and set up everything, I'm satisfied so far and definitely don't regret the purchase.

After upgrading from the older Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) model, I can only recommend the new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, as the watch has moved a step forward in every respect. As soon as you put it on for the first time, you'll notice the weight and material of the silicone strap, which I find much better on the new watch. The display is much brighter, there are a few new features, and the battery life is better. The new model in the dark grey version comes with a black strap, so I immediately ordered an orange one as well, which I think looks best with the watch.

After 4 years, I decided to replace my beloved Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Following a series of upgrades, the watch's speed had slowed down to a level I no longer found acceptable, although it still performed satisfactorily in other areas. I was looking for a watch for a man's wrist, with a higher degree of durability and fitness functions. Conversely, I wasn't looking for something small that I could use for sleep monitoring, which I have sorted out to my great satisfaction with another member of the Samsung family – the ring. And given the extensive ecosystem, I was looking within Samsung's range – so I suppose it couldn't have turned out any other way.
Overall workmanship - a really high-quality timepiece which, despite its size, is surprisingly wearable - meaning, considering its weight.
Battery life - a huge improvement on previous generations - no problem getting 3 days with all features enabled and the Always On display - with a little effort I think 5 days won't be an issue
Display - size, clarity and outdoor readability
Controls - no surprises - experience from previous models
number of features
AI - a really very useful implementation of Gemini
Integration with the Samsung ecosystem
Definitely the price – with a few accessories, you're quickly over 20,000 CZK – on the other hand, there's a fairly attractive cashback offer.
Price of original accessories
I would definitely have liked a rotating bezel, I've had it on older models in the past and it's very addictive.
Charging speed – I would have also expected Samsung to work on that as well

Absolutely satisfied so far. Excellent build quality, high-quality materials. Longer battery life compared to previous models. Comfortable to wear. Everyone can choose a watch face from the selection available. The main disadvantage is the longer charging time, and you also need to be careful about the size, as it might not fit smaller wrists due to its size.

This is my first smartwatch. I have to say, after some time, I'm enjoying discovering a new device again and finding out what it can do. One of the main reasons for getting it was the fact that I don't like carrying my phone with me on holiday, but on the other hand, I want to have the time, navigation, and the option to make an emergency call. I also appreciate the certification that this watch has. It's just a shame that the Samsung notes app isn't in the app store and I had to switch to an alternative. The Facebook Messenger app would also be useful, but that can be sorted with notifications from my mobile.
High IP certification
Great battery life
wide selection of dials
Some apps could have been pre-installed.
Some applications prefer to link to the display on a mobile phone.
It could do with a few more apps in the store, but notifications from my mobile work quite well.

The watch is attractive and comfortable to wear. The wide strap is easy to fasten and the weight isn't too bad. It's just a shame the battery life isn't at least half that of a Garmin, for example. The controls are intuitive and convenient, and the watch is suitable for both sports and everyday wear. For the gym, there's no comprehensive app where you can just switch between exercise and rest; each exercise has to be started separately, and when you move on to another exercise, you have to find that specific exercise and start it again.

It's a decent evolution of the original models, they're more comfortable on the wrist and technically have a better battery, chip, a display with increased brightness, and enhanced durability, plus they've added official support for diving. However, the specs list the battery life in hours as being exactly the same as the original model, and not everyone will likely make use of the diving with equipment feature - and some functionality and details are hidden behind a subscription. But it's nice to know that they're explicitly designed with water in mind. OneUI9 is snappy and looks nice. They allow you to charge the battery to only 90% - a nice touch, although few people will probably use it. The new strap is comfortable, but Samsung hasn't changed the fastening, so the bands are easily replaceable and interchangeable. For me, it's a pleasant upgrade. However, it's not a must-buy for owners of the original model, which can do most of the same things and will also get the software upgrade. The choice between the 2025 version and the new model is therefore mainly about price.
improvement on the battery - increased capacity, silicon-carbon
The system feels nippier (it's hard to say if that's due to the new chip or the new OS).
sits much more comfortably on the wrist than its predecessor
otherwise basically the same as the original model
Even though the battery is stronger, it won't be a significant improvement. The watch still lasts three days at most (Samsung praised it and it is stronger, but it's “up to 60 hours” - which the original ones were too).
This is purely personal – I wear them reversed on my right hand, so I have the number six at the top.
The new watch faces are interesting, but I'd probably prefer it if the compass wasn't in the middle.
