the thermometer is useless to me. has 3 ways of measuring. 1. is predictive. The thermometer turns on and when the display flashes 3 dots it is ready to take a predictive 5s measurement. after about 5 seconds the thermometer beeps and shows a nonsensical value, which each time for me showed 0.5°C higher temperature than the real one. I should note that I compared it with another long-used digital thermometer and a good old perfectly accurate mercury thermometer. 2. Method: the thermometer turns on only in the armpit and the thermometer starts measuring the temperature immediately and shows the temperature progress on the display. after about 10s it will show a pretty accurate value. 3. Method: if you use method 1 or 2 and let the thermometer continue to measure after the beep, it will beep again after x minutes and show a pretty accurate value. However, in this measurement you have no feedback from the thermometer at all, it keeps measuring and you don't actually know anything at all until the beep. if you want a simple thermometer that you want simple operation and not to think about the fact that method 1 is unusable and that you have to use method 2 or 3, I don't recommend this thermometer. I finally purchased the alternative MICROLIFE MT 850 and I can recommend it. has simple operation and from the moment you switch it on you have an idea of what temperature it reads. after about 8s more accurate value. with the mercury thermometer, 7 out of 10 measurements were the same and 3 measurements showed 0.1°C less than the mercury thermometer.
