It works as expected.
The cables are about 1 - 1.5 meters long (I did not measure them before installation), which can be for a desktop under the desk (actually deskbottom: -) a little. I connected the switcher to a monitor that has a USB connection to the desktop. That's how it works, too.
The only minor problem was that one position didn't work at first. After disconnecting and reconnecting it was OK, so probably not a perfectly well inserted cable.
It works on the first connection
4 USB A positions
no settings
if you switch on only one computer, it switches automatically
if both sensors are on and one switches off, the switch does not switch automatically

I really like its purpose in practice. You can switch between 2 computers and you can also plug in a power connector, so you can charge your phones through it, or plug in a classic HDD that needs a little more power to spin the plates.

really works
design, the cables that are pushed from the front side are then quite binding, so for cable management is in my opinion quite unsuitable: (
