Alza has taken its social responsibility seriously from the very beginning. It has supported more than 80 organizations in three countries (The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary) with donations each year. Baptista Szeretetszolgálat Alapítvány, Szikra Tehetséggondozó Egyesület, Országos Mentőszolgálat
21.07.2021. – We sponsored the children’s programmes of the Baptist Charity Foundation which helps children of parents who have died of Covid. Alza donated 100 pieces of Alza figures (half of which were talking dolls) worth 725410 HUF) hoping it would put a smile on the children's faces.
The talent management association, Szikra Tehetséggondozó Egyesület, deals with the assisting autistic children and their parents. It helps 200 children and families on a weekly basis. Special needs teachers also take part in a summer camp with the children. To support their activities and to enable them to help children to reach their full potential, Alza had donated a coffee maker and some Alza coffee to the association worth 111800 HUF.
Furthermore, we have donated a coffee machine and Alza coffee worth 135290 HUF to the Országos Mentőszolgálat station in Velence which performs rescues and helps with ambulance tasks daily. We hope we had been able to help with our donation.
Gólyahír Alapítvány az Örökbefogadó családokért
23.06.2021. – The Gólyahír Alapítvány works daily to support adoptive families and holds their hands even after adoption. We helped by donating a gas cooker, a tablet and talking Alza dolls to the total value of 228951 HUF. We hope our gifts hit the right spot and brought joy to their new owners.
Ipoly-völgyi Különleges Mentőegyesület
04.05.2021. – We supported the Ipoly-völgyi Különleges Mentőegyesület (special rescue association) with the help of an on-board camera recorder worth 50679 HUF. The members of the rescue association selflessly help those in need. At times they have to face enormous challenges heroically. We trust that they will benefit from our donation in the course of their work.
Fanni házát támogató Alapítvány
21.04.2021. – This time we were able to support the Fanni házát támogató Alapítvány foundation with a laptop worth 301953 HUF. This should help in the communication between employees and children. The children of Fanni ház once again have the opportunity to communicate at a higher level, to express their emotions and thoughts, to interact socially, to have eye contact with others and to have help coping with their special needs.
Szigetszentmiklós Kossuth utcai Református Egyházközség
14.12.2020. - At the end of a difficult and challenging year, we were able to help the Szigetszentmiklós Kossuth utcai Református Egyházközség, by donating a television worth 317038 HUF. They shall be able to broadcast online during this difficult period, as well. With our donation, they can ensure the excellent visibility of their videos and songbook information, too.
Hunyadi iskoláért Alapítvány
18.12.2020. – As circumstances changed during the pandemic, so did education as well. To help children, Alza donated 10 laptops worth 1967023 HUF to the Hunyadi iskoláért Alapítvány foundation. Students may overcome the challenges of digital education with the help of laptops.
Bornemisza Péter Gimnázium
Alza takes social responsibility just as seriously in Hungary as in its home country. The company supports NGOs as part of its social responsibility. In Hungary, it also cooperates with the Péter Bornemisza grammar school . The school principal and the students all attended the opening of the Budapest showroom, where Alza handed 10 state-of-the-art tablets as a gift to the school. Prior to that, the company had already donated 10 tablets to this grammar school, as the institution places great emphasis on the modern and efficient development of children's education.
Honvédkórházért Közhasznú Alapítvány
Alza is actively involved in the battle against coronavirus. In addition to the security measures already introduced in stores, Alza supports healthcare workers doing their job in the front lines by giving them protective face masks produced using 3D printers. Alza donated 1000 face masks to Honvédkórházért Közhasznú Alapítvány which distributed the masks among several hospitals in Hungary.
Heim Pál Gyermekkórház
The Heim Pál Gyermekkórház children's hospital has been one of the most successful organizations in Hungary. Over the course of several years, it has received patients from all over Hungary. It has already won several awards of excellence, such as: Outstanding National Institute 2019, Outstanding Clinical Center 2019, Outstanding Integrated Major Hospital 2019, Outstanding City Hospital 2019, Outstanding County Hospital 2019, Outstanding Specialist Hospital 2019, Hospital of the Year 2014 and 2015. Alza also wanted to support their excellent work, and therefore donated 150 plush Alza figures to the hospital.
Cseppkő Gyermekotthon
Alza donated 50 plush Alza figures to the Cseppkő Gyermekotthon children's home, one of Hungary's largest children's homes with a long history. Their educational philosophy which focuses on prevention includes providing stability and emotional security for all children.
