Asus DirectCU graphics card cooling technology uses one of the most efficient metals for cooling – copper. The thermal conductivity of copper is approximately 1.7 times that of aluminium. The precision-mounted DirectCU heat-conducting copper tube, in direct contact with the graphics core, provides efficient heat dissipation, improved cooling and quieter operation than reference models. Copper is also used on critical components such as the radiator core and GPU contact surfaces. Unlike other cards fitted with metal plates that reduce the effects of heat dissipation technology, DirectCU achieves 20% more efficient heat dissipation and 35% quieter operation compared with reference cards.
