A lever valve is a control element of a bidet shower, used to start, stop, and regulate the water flow. It is operated by a lever, whose movement, for example by pressing or tilting, opens the valve and releases water into the shower head. Unlike push-button valves, which merely start or stop the water, the lever mechanism often allows for stepless adjustment of the water jet strength, depending on how much the lever is pressed. In the case of mixing bidet showers, the lever valve can also serve to adjust the water temperature by moving the lever sideways, thereby mixing hot and cold water.
