Zipper Foot

A zipper foot is a special type of presser foot for sewing machines that facilitates sewing a zipper closely along its teeth. Compared to a universal foot, it has a specific shape with cut-outs on one or both sides. These cut-outs allow the machine's needle to sew as close as possible to the zipper without the foot hitting the slider or the zipper coil. Thanks to this, the stitch is guided precisely and straight, ensuring a strong and aesthetically neat attachment of the zipper to the fabric. Various variants exist, such as narrow, double-sided, or adjustable feet, which can be moved left and right depending on which side of the zipper is currently being sewn. A special type is the invisible zipper foot, which has grooves on its underside for guiding the zipper teeth and ensures that the zipper is almost invisible once sewn in.
