Liquid Repellent

A liquid repellent is a chemical preparation in liquid form that serves to repel wild animals. Its effect is based on a strong odor that is unpleasant for animals and which they perceive as a signal of danger, for example, the scent of a natural predator. In this way, it deters them from entering a protected area. The substance is not applied directly to plants or soil, but rather to carriers such as pieces of fabric, foam materials, or special posts. These are then placed around the perimeter of the property, such as fields, gardens, forest nurseries, or along roads, creating a so-called "scent fence." The effectiveness of the preparation is temporary, as it gradually evaporates and its scent weakens, and rain can accelerate this process. The application must therefore be repeated at regular intervals.
