Magnetic Levitation (ML) Bearing

A Magnetic Levitation (ML) bearing is a type of bearing used in fans, which are, for instance, part of complete water cooling sets. Its principle involves using magnetic force to suspend, or "levitate," the fan's rotor. Unlike traditional plain or ball bearings, there is no direct physical contact between the moving parts. Strong magnets create a field that keeps the rotor's axis in a stable, friction-free position. The result of this technology is significantly quieter operation, as the main source of noise becomes only the airflow, not the mechanical components of the bearing. Simultaneously, the overall lifespan of the fan is extended due to the absence of friction and wear.
