Triaxial car speakers

Triaxial speakers refer to a type of automotive speaker that integrates three separate sound transducers in a single body. The main, largest diaphragm is the base, which reproduces the bass and midrange. In its centre, two other, smaller transducers are placed on a common axis. The first of these is the so-called "tweeter", or tweeter, whose job is to reproduce high frequencies. The third element that distinguishes this type is the super tweeter, also known as the "supertweeter". This specialises in reproducing the highest frequencies of sound that lie above the range of a conventional tweeter. The aim of this design is to split the entire audible sound spectrum between three specialized components, which can lead to a more detailed sound presentation. By combining all three drivers into one piece, they provide a simple solution for replacing factory speakers as they install into a single mounting hole.
