The UV filters belong to a group of photo filters suitable for day-to-day photography. Therefore, it is not necessary to remove them from the lens at all. By using the UV filters, it is possible to achieve better image clarity and more accurate colour balance. The advantage of using such filter is also in an increase of the mechanical resistance of the lens. As a result, it is not as easy to scratch it or otherwise damage it.
The HMC-coated filters excel in their ability to minimise reflection on the surface of the filter, thus, reducing flares and haziness. Thanks to the application of multi-layered HMC, filters can boast the light transmission to over 97%. The Hoya HMC UV filters guarantee crisp and sharp images with highly balanced colours.
