I wanted to extend my AlzaPlus+ membership using a 20% discount code from a friend. However, it was impossible to enter the code, and the system repeatedly reported an error. I contacted the support chat, but unfortunately, they couldn't explain what the problem was. I was just given a link, which didn't even work, and the whole conversation felt very odd. In the end, I was told to use email. The email support then informed me that the discount from a friend can't be used if I've been an AlzaPlus+ member in the past. However, I know from other customers that the code worked for them even with a previous membership. On top of that, I couldn't find this condition anywhere in the promotion's terms and conditions. We eventually figured out that the problem was likely that the code needed to be entered on a computer. It did indeed work for me there. But after this whole ordeal, I won't be using it out of principle. I don't understand why support first claims I'm not entitled to the discount when the problem is something else entirely. So what's your explanation, Alza? Why does a customer receive information from support that later turns out to be false?
The staff don't know the terms and conditions of the promotion.
