This is my fourth grill of this type. The predecessors lasted about 5 years, then the ears fell off, the hearth rusted, and the successor came along. Gradually, the cast iron parts became tinier, the wooden handles took on an increasingly subtle form, but thanks to their consistency they were ideal for two people. I wonder how long the briquettes will last on the grate, if they sink like coal this is completely useless. Completely unusable for charcoal and not very stable thanks to the metal legs (they used to be cast iron), you will find this out when assembling. I don't recommend it at all.
Package complete, all nicely folded
Compare the photos of the product with its packaging - the ears are opposite, that's just the beginning.
Instructions - it almost looks like the charcoal grate should be inserted between the bottom and top, it's not.
The cast iron is the top two parts, the rest is sheet metal, including the legs - about 1mm sheet metal for a 4.3kg grill + charcoal + food?
If you stand the grill up straight, insert the grill surface and. is about 1.5cm downhill
The best part - you put the coal on a grid that has a wire pitch of 17mm and only one wire in the middle. You pour in the coal and what doesn't happen - all the pieces under 17 mm wide (and there are not a few) fall into the ashtray.
You light what's left and as the coal burns you hear a clack clack - that's the hot pieces, reducing in volume, gradually falling through the grate and forming a secondary firebox at the bottom of the tin ashtray.
However, under the meat you have little hot coal. Half a bag of coal was used for twenty pidi sausages and I roasted them just like that.
If you look at the instructions, it doesn't show a grid, but a perforated sheet, which has always been the case with these grills
