I had to return the CMF Buds 2 in the PRO version and then decide between these and the EarFun Air Pro 4, which were on sale for a similar price. Generally speaking, I've always been quite happy with the CMF, but when comparing it to the EarFun, I found that the CMF doesn't really fit my shape at all. Sonically I don't think CMFs are that much worse, but their strange shape gives me a constant feeling of bad fit and after trying EarFun this feeling increased dramatically, until I was horrified that I was able to wear something like this in my ears for more than half a year. If I leave aside the shape, which may suit everyone differently, the PLUS version should, according to the manufacturer's description, surpass the previous PRO in many ways, but in practice I don't think this would be the case. I certainly didn't notice any improvement in ANC, rather it seems to me that it works a lot worse, but in defense of the headphones, I tested fairly briefly. What disappointed me a lot then is that the manufacturer proceeded to remove the "smart dial" wheel on the case, which I thought was absolutely great and considered it one of the main reasons to actually get these headphones again. I understand that most users probably haven't used it much, but for language learning when you need to track recordings it's a great thing. Another thing that has changed is the mobile app, where the option to use the Dirac Opteo sound profile has disappeared. This mode did bend the sound a bit and was not exactly audiophile stuff, but I liked it because even from boring and completely "flat" recordings it conjured up an interesting but probably a bit overcoloured sound. The bottom line is that I don't find the current PLUS version particularly interesting, but then again, I can't say that it would be a bad choice. If the shape fits you, these are decent headphones at an interesting introductory price, but I still recommend comparing them with the EarFun Air Pro 4, which are slightly more expensive but at least two classes above. CMFka is otherwise to be commended for its great pairing, which I never had a problem with even in dual mode. Despite all this, I give only 3 stars, and this is mainly due to the direct comparison with the previous PRO model, which for me was just clearly better.
