For me it is a guarantee of quality, the last power supply survived 15 years of PC update and still serves in the second machine.
a proven classic
works in older PC for 15 years
additional cables can be purchased
picks up everything you need

I do not recommend this line of sources, specifically this model. These sources often have coil whistling, called. coil whine. The chances of coming across a piece that does not show this are very slim. Three units of this model exhibited this identical problem (tested on two different sets).
Coil whine in idle and under load.

I was buying this Corsair RM850x (ATX revision 3.1) as a replacement for an older piece to be safe with my new build built on Intel Core i5-14600KF (PL1/PL2 limits set to 181W) and Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics. I was looking for a power supply that wasn't just a "wattage label" but a real piece of engineering that could handle the power peaks of modern architectures. Why this model? The key for me is the support of the ATX 3.1 standard. For those who don't want to study the manuals: the power supply is built to withstand short-term fluctuations in consumption (so-called. Power Excursions) up to twice the rated power without disabling protection. For my RX 9070 XT, it's the perfect stability insurance in demanding 4K scenes. Experience in installation and operation: The power supply is completely silent at idle (the fan is stationary thanks to Zero RPM mode). When the CPU and GPU are fully loaded, they spin up, but the magnetic bearing is less audible than the rest of the assembly. Voltage regulation on the 12V branch is fantastic, ripple is minimal, which extends the life of the VRM on the board (ASUS Prime B760M-A). The only thing that needs to be taken into account are the cables. They are very well shielded with in-line capacitors, but the ends of the connectors are stiff because of this. In my cabinet (SXT K106) it required a bit of "cable management yoga", but the result is worth it. Verdict: If you're building a machine where you don't want to deal with system micro-drops and want to give the components a clean stream, this is a pragmatic choice without marketing trappings. The 10 year warranty is just a confirmation that Corsair simply trusts those Japanese capacitors inside.
ATX 3.1 standard: Ready for the extreme peak power consumption of modern GPUs (ideal for RX 9070 XT).
Uncompromising guts: 100% Japanese capacitors (105 °C) and superior voltage stability.
Quiet: You don't know about the power supply until about 400W (the fan doesn't spin).
Warranty 10 years: Practically, it will survive two or three more changes of the rest of the PC.
Accessories: Everything you need is included in the package, including a native 12V-2x6 cable.
Wiring rigidity: Due to the filtration at the ends of the cables, they are harder to handle in tight bends.
Price: Higher acquisition costs, but they pay for themselves in peace of mind and system stability.

I had to return the first one I bought because of squealing at idle and low load. The other piece is fine.
