I've been using the GILLETTE Labs shaver for about three weeks and I have nothing to complain about. It is great for shaving the entire face as well as for precise contour shaving. I purchased Gillette Labs as a replacement for the Fusion5, which I have been using for quite some time. After a few weeks of use, I have to say that the differences between them are not as big as I originally expected. In terms of the shave itself, both machines are very close. The blades are sharp and the shave is really smooth. The head lasted me about 30 uses, but of course it depends on the density of the beard and the overall frequency of use. The machine moves smoothly across the face and the shaving comfort is comparable to the Fusion5. The workmanship is premium and the materials are of high quality. Ergonomics are good, but the handle is not as secure in the hand as the Fusion5. Due to the lesser rubberization, it tends to be more slippery and it is quite easy to catch fingerprints on it, which spoils the overall appearance. The replacement head is a little stiffer than the Fusion5, but also feels more secure. One can be more sure that the head holds firmly and will not loosen on its own. A magnetic wall mount and travel case are included. The holder works without any problems and holds the machine firmly in place. The case is nice to the touch, but unnecessarily large, so it takes up more space than it needs to for travel. Another disadvantage is that it can easily open if dropped. Overall, it is a quality razor and I am satisfied with the shaving result. But if you're already using Fusion5 and it suits you, Labs doesn't bring enough of an improvement to make an upgrade necessary. The Fusion5 also has the advantage of cheaper replacement heads.
