Although the phone has some limitations compared to the full-size 9 and I had to get used to a slightly different control after switching from another brand, I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Everything runs as it should, it takes good photos, nothing stands out and Google support is fine too.

At this time and price range, this is one of the best phones on the market that meets my requirements. Quality photos, minimalist photomodule, no bloatware, solid battery life and long update support. I've had it for about a week, switching from the Poco M3 Pro, which at the time cost ~6000 CZK, so I can compare. Compared to the much lower-priced, year-old Poco M3 Pro, it has a worse sounding large speaker and a slower fingerprint reader - by being in the display, the display has to activate first and then it takes a long time to load the fingerprint. Poco had a reader in the power button and the tel. was unlocked in a tenth of a second. I'm waiting two seconds here. And I guess to show some "progress", they swapped the side volume and power buttons. Since I always have my thumb in the upper third when holding it, the design really sucks. But why not change what's working great, right. Well, in sum, if I didn't require GrapheneOS, I wouldn't even be interested in Pixel 9a. If you don't care what bloatware you have on your phone, reach for something else. In my opinion, Pixel 9a is not worth the money in terms of hardware.
