People are supposed to enjoy themselves and this news is perfect for that. You get packed in a neat box, the camera with a flashlight charged to 60%, cable, cloth and packaging. As you've made yourself happy, so you look forward to it, you turn on the camera, select the language (it doesn't speak Czech) and suddenly boom, slap from the left - activate in the app. Well, you get to installing the Insta360 app for Android and boom, toy flushed down the drain - 1Gb to download. It took an hour to pull and install. But hooray, full of a new will to live, you launch the app, connect to the camera and. Another hammer blow from the right - a new firmware version has been detected and it won't let you go on without an update. 300Mb and another 30 minutes down the drain. Firmware is installed, camera connects, lots of features, but something doesn't add up. When you want to take a photo via the app, you see on your phone screen a dog that left 5 minutes ago! And in the meantime, you'll get disconnected three times. Unusable for controlling and taking photos, I close the app and take the camera. The touchscreen is beautifully responsive and smooth, and the camera offers many features even special ones for the sport you're capturing. Single lens mode is a real pleasure. The ease of replacing the slides is a great thing, it just sticks out and eventually it will get damaged. The desktop application works great, I didn't find any problem even the first time I used it. Bought with 512GB card and insta360 pole ala tripod. Great build and I don't regret the money, but I prefer to really hide the app in the don't use don't open folder and I'm taking 2 stars for someone forcing me to use it.

the camera is perfect and the price is justified
the app is not so perfect anymore and there is a lot of room for improvement, for example the AI functions take too long to generate

Stabilization even in difficult conditions at a premium level
High-quality video output, although only 8 bit, but that's probably too much to ask for
Very fast start-up
The new version of the app is already starting to be usable
Interchangeable lenses
High-quality sound pickup and wind resistance
The desktop app lacks many features from the mobile app
The quality of the image output from the mobile app is low

I have used several generations of these cameras. The image looks better in lower light conditions than the X4. Great that the lenses can be replaced if damaged.
better image in low light conditions
replacement lenses in case of damage
battery life
they might as well put the rubber cap on it. It's easier to put on when I have the camera in the mount on my helmet.

Probably the best 360 camera you can buy now, hard to beat. The price is a bit higher, but I think it matches the quality that this camera brings.
Compared to the previous model (x4) it has a larger sensor and in low light conditions this new x5 can take much better videos which was a big minus with the previous model
The sound (microphone) is also much improved and you can really hear it a lot
Battery lasts much longer
The new AI chip adds even more features (AI Frame, DEWARP etc) and better noise reduction on video, better HDR etc.
I didn't find any negatives, maybe just that there are no lens protectors in the package like the previous model, but the new x5 allows you to replace the whole lens which is great
