I bought the Lamax Sounder2 Mini portable speaker as a replacement for the Lamax Sounder2, which has definitely better sound quality, but is also once as big, heavy and more expensive. I bought the mini version for my children to listen to audio stories in the evening before sleep and it is absolutely ideal for this purpose. Sound with music probably won't impress anyone, but for the garden or spoken word (stories, audio books, podcasts, etc. ) is ideal. This is not to say that it is unsuitable for music, but the sound is midrange, directed to the highs, and the bass is quite receding - but for the price and life it is not a bad purchase at all. If you want a speaker that is bass-oriented and therefore a good listening experience, you will have to dig deeper into your pocket.
In the price-performance ratio it meets expectations (not surprising but not offensive either).

Given its size, it plays quite loudly. The sound is also above average when placed on a solid surface. I was quite scared the first time I played it though, because for the first hour or so of playing the speaker sounded really awful that I wanted to return it immediately. But after about an hour it "started to play" and since then, as I wrote, the sound is very good. The only, but quite significant minus I would mention endurance. The speaker from a full charge, at 80% volume lasts less than 4 hours. Which compared to the claimed endurance is a significant difference. Anyway, I rate the speaker as such positively.
