. this is the king among dehumidifiers for use in the apartment. I bought it so that I could leave it on in the apartment overnight when there were two bedrooms next door. I was renovating the apartment and the poured floors needed to dry. The night mode fulfilled exactly that function. Other dehumidifiers without a night mode were simply 1/3 louder and the noise penetrated into the adjacent apartments.
