I was lucky enough to have one apple in my basket go bad and unfortunately it was neither seen nor felt (at least not by people: -))), so suddenly I had a giant muskie find. I tried the classic vinegar paste (and also different variants that can be found - with spring, without spring, with sugar, all together, just a little spring, etc.). I'm not saying that they don't work, but they're like a lot of "lukewarm" (they catch about 10% and the rest stick around). I got tired of it and bought this trap. They smell really like vinegar and flowing apple from the cellar, but from 10cm there is nothing to feel. And in three days after deployment I'm sort of won (inside I'm peeling about 3 times as much as in the photo from the customer with a larger quantity), outside is flying only a few stragglers. Next time I'll buy this trap right away (if they don't stop making it, like everything else "that works"). I don't evaluate the price - for some it will be little, for some it will be a lot and they will try the proven vinegar under the foil (and they will catch for 2 weeks).

it doesn't smell (if you smell it really close, the smell is like a running apple with vinegar, nothing terrible)
if it is necessary to leave it longer (or if you spill some of it like me) it is enough to top up the rest with vinegar, especially put it in a supernatant capsule (I assume it has some yeast in it or something that causes a fruity fermented smell)
