The insert with the keys and the card arrived in the AlzaBox in the original paper box, which was not sealed in any way and therefore anyone had access to the contents, i.e. the keys and the card for adding more keys. I'm not a professional and therefore I can't define exactly why this is so, but these inserts are probably dimensionally at the upper limit of some "insert" standard and with older locks, which are again at the lower limit of the "lock" standard, it just doesn't happen and you can't cram a Richter insert in there at all.
If this happens to you, I recommend using ABUS inserts - you can stuff them everywhere.
