Classic controls - suitable for older people (we chose the hospital for a mother used to similar controls for her radio at home).

Stable, easy to grip even for people with limited mobility.

Sounds good, loud enough, considering the low price very good quality reproduction.

The battery/power option is also a positive. The batteries allow the radio to be carried and increase the stability of the device, rather than it falling over when operated.

The band selection/switching not only has the expected three positions (off-on/ FM/ AM), but also intermediate positions, where reception of the set wavelength is obviously poor. But you can get used to it - the lever has to fit properly.

If there is no possibility to use a mains connection, the three large batteries needed for operation are quite expensive.
