There's a constant smell from the pot when cooking, it seems the Teflon is releasing something.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. Our supplier has contacted us based on your message and would like to respond below.
"Hello, if you notice a smell during cooking, we recommend checking if any dirt has gotten underneath the cooking pot and directly onto the appliance's heating element. The cooking pot is made of aluminium and has a non-stick surface coating, which has passed full testing in accredited laboratories and meets all European Union standards for food contact. Kind regards, The Sencor Team"

It does what it's supposed to, I recommend it. Very simple to use, you don't have to worry about anything, just turn it on and it switches itself off. It's suitable for seniors if you're worried about them cooking on gas and forgetting to turn it off. And since I read a review where a lady cooked rice for an hour and it still wasn't done, a little mistake was made – she forgot that the control, i.e. the button, is on the back of the pot. I recommend three measures of water for two measures of rice, with a little salt, that's a portion for two to three people. I'm writing this because some people don't like reading instructions, which are often confusing. Enjoy your meal. By the way, before cooking, put the rice in a sieve and rinse it thoroughly with cold water so it doesn't foam up while cooking.

Once you get the rice to water ratio right, it's a great little helper. It's best to put a few drops of oil on the bottom.
