Headphones are a nice step forward. Personally, I can compare them to the XM5 and they feel almost the same, but the XM6 feels more like passive noise cancelling headphones with ANC added. (Sound from the outside environment permeated through the XM5 more easily, which was compensated by a stronger ANC. )
