This product is a complete disgrace, compounded by the fact that it is a "sports" item for very young children, where I would have expected a somewhat different approach. The knives are the same as the ones I used as a kid 35 years ago. Back then it was also a piece of junk, but at least with leather buckles that could be fastened quite well. This was designed by a complete illiterate and an even bigger illiterate or rather a howler is importing it to us from China as a functional thing. Same crap across all stores under different brands, unfortunately you won't find many other options in this category. I don't get it in 2026 that this is where we're supposed to teach kids their first "steps" on the ice. Due to the fact that I was a last minute shopper and the kids were very happy with the colorful skates, I was forced to keep these even though I'm basically ashamed that I didn't send it back immediately. However, getting them to a usable state meant the following: Shape both overhangs into a usable shape using a hot air blower, incl. heel shaping. Adjust the bends on the metal part in the heel so that the shoe holds and for the skates for the older son adjust the bend on the front part so that the shoe can be moved more forward. Toss the front buckle lock itself, so that it all fits better around the toe of the shoe. Shorten the straps that would otherwise flop on the ground. That's all and hooray "skate", work for a handyman for about 20 min. I recommend everyone else to send back or better yet, don't order at all.
