I received a pre-configured TP-Link router from my local ISP as part of the purchase of their services, which I could not get into the administration of (not even for a simple router restart, let alone some firewall/port settings). I bought the Tenda TX2 Pro router on recommendation and I definitely don't regret it. I just reported the MAC address to the provider and everything started working right away. Not to mention that this router supports much higher data rates, WIFI 6, and has several times better signal range (both at 2.4 and 5 Ghz). After the initial setup, I recommend doing a firmware update in the adminstrator (which is a 2-3 click process due to the fact that a much newer version is already provided by the manufacturer than the default out of the box). This will give you even better/higher speeds.

I would like to have more LAN ports (only 3) so I don't have to deal with placing the switch next to the router. but on the other hand, it helped me eliminate some of the devices originally connected by cable, so it's not really a negative. But for some, it may be the deciding factor.

It's not so much the downside, but the principle, and I consider the physical CD with the drivers to be a bit of a relic these days. Eliminating it could easily result in an even better/lower price.
