Be careful when setting the Recording - you need to change the "Channel" to "Recording", otherwise the device will just turn on, turn off, but nothing will be recorded. It's set by default and has to be changed every time, which seems very off to me. even the guys at Alza didn't know that when they made the claim. It only hit me when reading a review of another device.

The translation of the menu is not completely "Czech", but you can live with it, as well as with the slightly clumsy controls.

The STB display shows nothing during playback, just - - - -, but it could be the time of the recording. But it's in the OSD on the TV.
