I was switching from a fairly high-quality Xiaomi 14T Pro, and I didn’t really have much reason to leave the older model behind. So far, I’ve been quite pleasantly surprised. With the 14T, I initially felt it was a bit rough around the edges, but that feeling faded away with successive OS updates. We're off to a flying start here. For me, one of the main features is the camera. Although the 14mm lens had a relatively solid foundation in terms of its optics, I often found that the exposure in the photo wasn’t quite right on automatic mode (even with AI), and the result ended up looking too dark or, conversely, overexposed. This hasn't been the case with the 17T Pro so far, and generally speaking, the photos look significantly better without the need for any post-processing. It’s hard to compare iPhones with Androids: -), but so far it seems that Xiaomi is catching up fast in terms of optics and photo processing.
