I've been using the card for exactly one month now, and as far as performance and operating characteristics are concerned, I can't complain at all. I can compare with the previous series and that Asus RTX 3070 also in the DUAL version. It was much noisier under load, took about 40W more and had about 10°C higher core temperatures (I compare Quiet bios). This new Dualka RTX 4070 is cooler, quieter and 40W more power efficient with the addition of new technologies like DLSS 3 and Frame Generation. I'll also add the VRAM size to the plus side, because finally after three generations of the 70 series we have not 8GB but 12GB of fast GDDR6X VRAM. The gross performance is then about 30% higher which is not much, but up to 1440p resolution the performance is top notch. Overall performance is on par with the RTX 3080, which was a 4k card at the time. Today, the performance of this card may not be enough for 4K in the latest titles, but you don't have to be up to 1440p. It's not a problem to run games at maximum details or to help DLSSkem for higher framerate. What I'm a bit sorry about this particular model is the lack of LED strip (previous 3070 Dual had it) and also that the power limit increase (sic only by 8%) just doesn't work. The card then hits a power limit when overclocking and OC performance is then lower than it could be. Anyway, this is a basic model and I don't expect it to set records in overclocking, and those who don't overclock at all don't need to worry about this at all. Overall, I can definitely recommend the card and there's probably nothing more I can add.
