The anonymous customer - Reviewed 20/09/2026 is an idiot who can't even peel the film off the display and then attaches a photo to the review where you can clearly see it.
Easy, tool-free disk installation
Provides basic but sufficient information about the disk's status. It also reads S.M.A.R.T. data, so it shows cumulative stats as well (how much the disk has been run, etc.).
It won't make use of the disk's speed, it's "only" 10G.

Pros: the display, the amount of information about the drive, the ease of drive installation and in general, yes, this product is great. The quality of the aluminium case feels solid, the adapter is quite small :-).
I have one big BUT, though.
After unpacking the adapter from a new box, the display was literally scuffed and scratched, as if someone had grabbed it and scraped it across concrete, asphalt, or paving stones a few times. Although I filed a complaint and immediately received a second new one from Alza (thank you, Alza), it was practically the same, just about 30% better. It seems Axagon doesn't care about quality control and the displays fall straight from the production line into a container without any packaging, from where they are transported elsewhere, I don't know.
The product works well, but this aftertaste from a new product was a disappointment. Otherwise, I've always been satisfied with Axagon products in the past.

top processing and OLED display
shows the disk name, capacity, temperature, health, number of bytes written and read, connection speed, temperature .
two rubber stops for handling the disc without a screwdriver
no screwdriver required
with a cable for both USB-A and USB-C connections, I normally achieve a connection speed of 10Gbi (I don't have a faster USB)
metal ALU packaging that lasts a long time
I recommend it!
