It's cheap, but I bought it because of the noise coming from the laptop. It's still cooling. The laptop doesn't make noise with this pad, but the pad does make noise because it's so poorly and cheaply made that it twists and the fans make all sorts of noises just by how poor quality they are and how cheap their bearings are. The speed controller at the back also regulates the intensity of the LEDs under the fans and it doesn't work much either. Instead of gradually increasing or decreasing the power, it jumps on and off in various ways because the whole resistive mechanism is some horrible clay. I wouldn't leave it unattended.
