A huge disappointment. I wanted a dehydrator with stainless steel trays and I liked this one for its size and two fans. Unfortunately, I had the same fault twice – the fans would switch off during drying. They would then switch back on after maybe a minute. Furthermore, I think their advertising in the style of 'Concept thinks about the little things' is misleading. As I described above – when I select Slow Mode, the timer automatically defaults to 99 hours and you can't just use the up arrow to change it to, say, 1 hour; you have to press the down arrow all the way from 99 hours to your desired time, for example 10. Such a pain. After this experience, I'm crossing the Concept brand off my list of potential brands.
Stainless steel trays
Two fans
I ordered a second one and both were faulty. The fans would turn off during drying whenever the heating element switched off.
I don't know who came up with these presets. On the Slow mode, it automatically jumps to 99 hours, and to set the timer I have to decrease the time from 99 hours all the way down to, for example, the 10 I want. A massive pain, why isn't it set to 10 hours as standard, for instance?
You can smell plastic when it's drying.
