The joint and the fixing mechanism are "screwable", so that the correct position can be sufficiently fixed.
The joint (if tightened, see above) will hold a 10' tablet (specifically our iPad 2, so quite heavy) without any problems while driving.
It's an ordinary plastic product, however, it seems to be of good quality, solid, the grips of the edges of the tablet are padded - so for the price I don't take it as a negative.
The tablet size lock could have a longer travel (e.g. flipping the lever from one side to the other - realistically it only tilts about 20 degrees) - but if you get used to the mechanism, it doesn't matter, and there was no spontaneous release.
