When I read that Philips had come out with a new Ultra Efficient range (similar to the record-setting Dubai Lamp), I decided I had to try it out. Overall it's rather a slight disappointment, mainly because of the colour and intensity of the light, but more will become apparent with time.
I measured the consumption of 2.2W - extra economical
Even after hours of operation on the surface completely cold, i.e. excellent efficiency
The appearance of a classic light bulb: metal + glass
Due to the cold operation I would believe the claimed lifetime of over 50.000h (practically decades)
After starting, the light seemed to me a shade of green - as someone wrote in a review of a similar bulb. After a while, I stopped noticing it so much.
It seems to me that they shine less than they write. The claimed light is supposed to be 485 lm, equivalent to a 40W bulb, but when I put a weaker classic 30W bulb next to it, it seemed to me that it shines more than this led.
High price. However, with current energy prices and the long life of the bulb, it pays off somewhere. For less frequent lighting, cheaper LEDs from competitors are sufficient.
