A new X399 Chipset with a new socket
The high-end AMD RYZEN ThreadRipper processors are designed exclusively for the new TR4 socket. The modern X399 chipset offers a 4-channel DDR4 memory controller supporting frequencies of up to 2667MHz.
The platform also offers a total of 64 available PCIe 3.0 lines, 48 of which will be designed for graphics cards (PCIe × 16 slots). This adds up to three graphics cards in full PCIe 3.0 x 16 mode.
