The new and improved EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM delivers a top performance, compact construction and great resolving power that is ideal for sports and wildlife photography. To provide high contrast and reduce chromatic aberration, this lens features one fluorite and one UD element.
The combination of a 3-mode optical image stabiliser and high-quality optics with a 9-blade circular aperture renders sharp images with beautiful, soft backgrounds. The new Air Sphere Coating technology (ASC) uses several layers to reduce backlit flaring and ghosting. For maximum precision and zoom performance, the zoom ring's torque is fully adjustable.
