Rehydration solution HiPP ORS 200 Carrot-Rice Decoction is a food for special medical purposes intended for the treatment of diarrhea in infants from 4 months of age and young children. It is ready to be served. It does not contain sweeteners, natural and artificial flavours, lactose, milk proteins or gluten. Preparation
Take only on the advice of a doctor, qualified person in nutrition, pharmacy or maternal and child care. Shake before use, serve chilled. Unless otherwise advised by your physician, administer HiPP ORS exclusively for the first 3-4 hours. For mild diarrhoea, administer 20-30 ml/kg body weight (weight loss up to 3%). For moderate diarrhoea, administer 30-80 ml/kg body weight (3-8% weight loss). Further fluid losses due to diarrhoea or vomiting should be compensated for with an additional 50-100 ml of ORS after each episode of vomiting or watery stools, preferably by teaspoonfuls and at short intervals, e.g. every 5-10 minutes.
Storage conditions
Store at room temperature. Store the unused amount in the refrigerator in a closed bottle and consume within 24 hours.
