If you want to have a proper garden barbecue, a charcoal grill is the way to go. Garden charcoal grills give your food an unmistakable taste and aroma. One big advantage of charcoal grills is their low purchase price; you can get a decent grill for a few dozen pounds. You can choose from G21 grills, Fieldmann, Hecht, or Sharks grills.
What charcoal grill should I choose?
A grill with a big grate provides enough cooking space to prepare food even for a larger group of people. An integral part of a charcoal garden grill is a built-in thermometer and a hinged lid. Depending on the design, you can choose from rounded or rectangular charcoal grills. The grill can be made of metal or cast iron. The cast-iron grills retain heat better, but they are also heavier.
Grills with a smoker box
Another type of the charcoal grill is the grill/smoker box combo. As the name suggests, this type can serve as a grill and a full-fledged smoker box. A combination grill is equipped with two chambers and has multiple burners, so you can prepare individual meals at different temperatures. A combination grill lets you do cold smoking or hot smoking, depending on what you prefer. It is suitable for preparation of meat, vegetables, and fish, but you can also make bread and even pizza. Charcoal grills can process wood, charcoal, or briquettes as their heat source.
Table top charcoal grills
Table top charcoal grills are basically normal grills in a more compact package. Their smaller size makes them ideal for those who don’t have enough space for a large charcoal grill. A table top garden grill is lightweight, compact, and highly portable.
