Effective multi-tasking

The heart of the system is a quad-core 1.6GHz Intel Celeron processor, made with 14nm manufacturing technology. Its clock speed automatically rises to up to 2.08GHz under heavy load, so it can easily offset any performance fluctuations. The processor is backed by efficient DDR3L system memory with the SO-DIMM design known from laptops. Two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces handle network performance and can be used in the so-called “port merge” mode. The disk controller supports RAID 1,0 and JBOD technologies with AES-NI hardware encryption for up to 224MB/s, for both NAS and shared folders. This improves system performance and security.

Ready for the IoT era

Dual QTS-Linux systems on this device use modern QNAP virtualisation technologies. The advanced architecture allows you to download many applications from QTS App Center or QTS App Center as well as develop or use IoT packages for Linux and view them through HDMI output. Connect your keyboard, mouse and HDMI monitor to the TS-253A Linux station and use it as if you were working on your PC. It can also be run as a remote desktop for instant management through a web browser.
