A very solid monitor that is saved mainly by the price. QHD, IPS, and 165hz under 7k is yummy. Compared to the monitor that iiyama replaces, it's more than a kilo lighter, so it doesn't weigh down the arm as much, and it even has a matte display surface, which is great for when the sun starts shining again. Although neither iiyama's site nor Alza mentions it here, I have 2x USB 3.0 on my monitor, which is a nice surprise, so extra points. And now the unpleasant things. Forget HDR. The monitor is only certified for HDR 400 and the colour quality is absolutely horrendous in HDR mode. The monitor gets a sort of grey filter and of course you can't adjust colours, contrast and things like that. After trying it out and finding out that it is HDR 400 I don't plan to turn this thing on again, absolute waste of time. The worst part is that you won't read on either the Alza or iiyama website that this is a 400 certification (read "waste of time"). So if you're looking for an HDR monitor, keep looking, this isn't it. Ah, the rack. Oppavdu useless. The monitor is a few centimetres higher than if you leaned it against a wall without the stand. If you hate your cervical spine, it's great. But the monitor has a VESA option, so you can stick it on the wall or on your shoulder, "recycle" the original stand out the window and laugh. The rest are more or less little things that simply add up to the price - you "pay" for the lower price by having to play with the image and colour settings to make it look something, and that's on top of a not-so-pretty and easy-to-navigate OSD. Maybe I'm deluded, on my old LG monitor I had a joystick in the middle of the monitor from the bottom, which made navigation a blast. But that's the price. Recommendations? Definitely YES. Don't be fooled by the horrible out-of-the-box picture setup like I was (I had every intention of returning it after trying it for two days and pushing the price). Sit down with an old monitor, watch some 4k HDR color video on YT and play with colors, contrast, etc. It's worth it, because otherwise the monitor is really great.
