After a long time of choosing, I chose the Samsung QE55S95C, and I must say I am absolutely thrilled! When I first turned on this TV and saw the stunning picture, I was blown away. The black is so beautifully deep, and how the colors just stand out! I feel like I'm right in the middle of a movie, or in the middle of a football game. And the contrast - just great! Every detail is so clear and sharp that you don't even realize it's just a TV. I also bought suitable Samsung mounts so my TV is only 50mm from the wall and looks amazing from all sides. Maybe I should have chosen a bigger size.

The hardware is excellent, but Samsung's software degrades the whole user experience considerably. - Tizen OS is not completely smooth. It depends on the open application and not that the AI is explicitly laggy, but I don't see why it couldn't render at 60 or 120hz instead of 30. Probably not enough hardware, which is quite sad for a more expensive TV when even lower mid-range mobiles can do it nowadays. - Only a very limited range of applications. All sorts of streaming and IPTV apps are there, but don't expect a wide range of offerings like on android. - Tizen can't play all formats, especially with DTS audio it has a problem, some files refuse to open completely. - When playing a video file in the default player, it is sometimes a problem to switch the audio and subtitle track. - Browsing files on the NAS or PC was a bit of a challenge to set up. - Screen mirroring with a Samsung phone via the Smart Things app works fine, but the video is pretty compressed. I haven't tried Chromecast. - What bothers me is the disabling of some of the picture settings depending on the content being played. In IPTV app I can't set color tone, in HDR video the options are enabled depending on other settings (color space I think). It probably makes sense, but the AI should better communicate to the user the reasons why this is the case. - On highly compressed video (fullHD TV broadcasts, Youtube) you can see colour staircases and pitting. Yes, those are indeed in that poor quality video, but from what I've seen LG or especially Sony can handle it significantly better. - I don't have any problem with the one connect box, but I don't have much confidence in the cable that connects it. The cable is proprietary and expensive, I hope it will be available as a spare part for a long time. It would be a shame to throw away a working panel sometime in the future just because of a faulty cable. Good now: - The picture looks great provided you feed the TV with quality content. - It is very bright on OLED, it literally shines in HDR content. Black is, of course, really black. - The screen is only 1cm thin across the entire surface, the stand is heavy enough and therefore stable. - The sound is quite OK for a TV. Don't look for bass, but it's quite sufficient for such home TV viewing. Of course, you can't compare it to a real repro setup. In a nutshell: picture great, but Smart TV features poor. Save yourself the trouble and connect your Android box or PC.
